Q:
How long will your products last in my freezer?
A:
Our products have a shelf life of 1 year from date of manufacture. This is based on being stored at zero degrees. Please keep in mind opening and closing your home freezer can affect the quality of the product.

Q:
Can I purchase products directly from Seviroli Foods?
A:
Currently we do not have mail order capabilities but we are exploring that possibility as well as some other consumer friendly programs.
Q:
Is your Shrimp and Crab ravioli made with real crab?
A:
Absolutely. As part of our ongoing commitment to premium quality, we use real crab and real shrimp!
Q:
How can I prevent "freezer burn" when returning product to my freezer?
A:
Be sure all the air is out of the bag and the zipper is tightly sealed. Also you might want to double bag and seal the product.

A:

Does your product contain any allergens?
A:
Any of our products that contain allergens clearly state what they are on each product or item.
Q:
How long after the suggested "Sell By" date is it safe to eat your products?
A:
If kept properly frozen, up to 6 months after the "Sell By" date. You might experience some "freezer burn" but the product is safe to eat.
Q:
On your gnocchi product, I detected some dark brown specs, are they edible?
A:
The brown specs are pieces of potato skin and they are edible.
Q:
On your packaging you claim that your product is "All Natural", how so?
A:
Our filled pasta products are healthy, nutritious and well balanced. All our products provide at least two of the five groups in the Food Pyramid and a few of our products contain all five of the food groups: Grains & Pasta, Vitamin Supplements, Eggs, Milk & Cheese, Fruits & Vegetables, Protein (Meat, Poultry & Fish).
Q:
Your product packaging says "Quick + Easy" (3 to 5) and (5 to 7) minutes. Is your product microwavable and how so?
A:
Those of our products that can be microwaved have instructions on the package.
Q:
Do any regulatory bodies independently attest to your Food Safety Programs?
A:
Our plant is a USDA inspected facility. Furthermore, supporting our commitment to quality, we are regularly audited by top level, independent and fully accredited food safety firms. We are also regulated by FDA and the Department of Agriculture & Markets.

Can you provide me with some recipes as to how to best use your products?
A:

Q:
Can you provide Country of Origin on your seafood ingredients? Does any of your seafood come from China?
A:
We currently have restricted purchases from China pending accredited food safety review.
Q:
Do you give coupons?
A:
We currently do not, but we are in the process of developing that capability through our website. Stay tuned!
Q:
Do any of your products contain MSG?
A:
The majority of our product line do not contain MSG. Certain Meat Tortellini/Ravioli items do but they are declared in the Ingredient statement.
Q:
I purchased a bag of your retail stuffed shells and only 11 were in the package. The bag says 12 count, why is this?
A:
The product is sold by weight, not by piece count. The shells are hand filled so they tend to vary by weight.
Q:
Are any of your products considered "Low in Sodium"?
A:
Low sodium means 140mg of salt per serving. Seviroli products that qualify are our Cavatelli (5mg) and our fresh pasta line items (0mg).
Q:
Are any of your products qualified for "low fat" status? If so which ones?
A:
Low fat means 3g or less per serving. Seviroli products that qualify are Cavatelli (1g); Cheese Tortellini Economy (2g); Gnocchi (0g) and our fresh pasta line 1.5g). Our premium Cheese Tortellini has 3.5g.
Q:
Do any of your products carry the American Heart Association approval?
A:
Our Cavatelli qualifies for the American Heart Association approval and we are working to qualify for more approvals, along with some modifications on our recipes.
Q:
Are any of your products "Certified Organic"?
A:
Not yet, but this is one of many projects currently under development by our Research and Development Group.
Q:
How do the Tri-Color Tortellini get their color?
A:
Green gets its color from spinach powder and the orange from oleoresin paprika.
